One can find a ton of hardware related videos of Samsung Tablets on RUclips. But just no videos on the Apps on Android Tablets. Apps I mean not native apps, but third-party apps like Facebook, Instagram, Outlook, Google Apps, everyday News/ Weather Apps, etc. This question comes from the various articles which seem to indicate that Apps on Samsung Tablets/ Android Tabs are nothing but stretched versions of Mobile Apps.
The iPad Pro is a beast, but I'll keep my Samsung S9, it seems to be the best all-rounder, while the iPad is best for power users.

Agree.... but I think the s9 also has more than enough power.... the ipad has a beautiful screen for watching movies, but the aspect ratio sucks.... and the s9 is a more versatile work station.
Everyone needs to really think about their daily needs in a tablet. Personally, I've owned iPad Pro in the past and currently own an iPad 10th gen with 256gb of storage, plus a Tab S9. They both fit my needs very well, maybe I'll upgrade the iPad later for the new Pencil Pro and an iPad Air, but for now I like the power of my Tab S9. If I didn't have the Tab S9, I'd probably go with the iPad Pro.

I bought my daughter the M4 13" iPad Pro as a graduation present. The other day, since she's had it for a few weeks, I asked her if she liked it better than the 12.9" M1 iPad Pro. She said, and I quote, "They're the same." I told her about the tandem OLED display, how the M4 beats every tablet out there in processing power and so on. She just hunched her shoulders and went back to watching whatever she was watching 😂.
It was then, that I knew that despite it's Pro and optimized applications, meant nothing to her, lol. Hopefully in college with a more advanced academic workload she may come to appreciate it's advantages over the M1, but I have a sinking feeling she probably won't.
That being said, it is similar for me, going from the S8 Ultra to the S9 Ultra. I push my tablets a lot more than my daughter, like video editing family videos, and gaming. But the experience was basically the same as the S8. Right now, for media consumption I'm using the Leia Lume Pad 2 3D tablet. Your video in 3D was incredible. Thanks for the thorough review!

People can talk all they want about ipad m4 chips and ipads supposedly being faster,but the s9 ultra will always be better,and still more powerful with no restrictions,and if the ipad is so good,then why is apple trying to make a ipad ultra and steal samsungs brand?
I still believe the Tab S9 Ultra is better than the iPad Pro. Dex is still much better than Stage Manager.
I will say the iPad Pro is using a chip that is used in the MacBook & Mac computers. The S9 is using a chip for a mobile device.

Ipad Pro is unnecessarily powerful but iPad OS is trash and limited. Team Tab S9 Ultra is a better user experience. If iPad pro had macOS then I'd jump ship in a heartbeat.
The way i use a tablet is never about me needing the fastest soc available it's about features, storage, and cost (including accessories). It's why I've never liked iPads. The user experience sucks imo, and storage/accessories are just stupid expensive.
If you have the choice between these two I definitely think the m4 chip is the better of the two! As much as I dislike apple, the M chip is just ridiculous power in a tablet

The writing experience is a lot better on the s9 ultra. Even using a paperlike screen protector for the iPad still doesn't match the superior feel of the s9 ultra. With that said, either is good. One is not strictly better than the other (screen display is too close enough where it shouldnt sway the buyer). If using just for tablet stuff (no professional editing stuff) then I favor the s9. But both are good and you will be happy with either. I like both. But if I can only have one then s9 without hesitation. M4 has no meaning when both operate at the same speed in my eyes for everyday basic use.
At the end of the day, I still prefer the iPad Pro. The suite of optimized Pro apps like Procreate + the powerful chip means I can rock this for 5+ years easily and it’ll feel just as fast as day one. The S9 Ultra is no slouch either though the Android Tablet experience app wise is just abyssmal. Samsung tries its best to mitigate the negative experience through One UI like windowed apps and Dex but they can only do so much when all you can do with it are open the same blow-up phone apps, just abit wider. (I tried Lumafusion on Android and it’s a stuttery, laggy mess compared to the iOS version)

Yes, true phone has the same thing, but the 14.6-inch screen oled is gorgeous compared to a 6-inch screen. Watching videos is way better on a 14.6-inch screen oled than on the phone.I,m on the s8 ultra all the time, I,m writing this on s8 ultra so fast charging is a win for me.

I still don't understand how the heck you are holding the ultra with one hand like a phone. Lol . I wanted a bigger screen so I could watch videos, so I upgraded samsung tab a 10.1 inch 2019 to the s8 Ultra 14.6 inch last November.
I saw the s9 ultra for $1100 at the time , I wasn't going to pay $1000 for a tablet, so I got the next best thing the s8 ultra for $699 but got it for $599 because I had a $100 gift card.
For years since the early 90s, I wanted to try out an apple computer, but never did , because it was and still is expensive. If I want to do hands-on productive things, then I just use my computer. FYI, I'm watching this on my s8 ultra.

The Samsung S9 is so much better in many aspects, even the battery life can last hours longer than the iPad. The only thing I hate about it is the aspect ratio. It feels so weird using it when not in desktop mode, it's like I'm holding a huge phone screen. Apple definetly rocks the aspect ratio with their iPads. I just wish someday Samsung will have a tablet with a similar aspect ratio to the iPad. But for now, I'll go with the iPad.
No no, lol. I love the samsung aspect ratio is better watching movies and TV shows on them. Even laptop and monitors are 16: 10. I hate the 4:3 ratio... big ugly black bars. Lol. Samsung did had same aspect ratio as apple so did alot of android tablets because I bought one and didn't realized until I was using it. I hated it. I'm so glad they went back.
@@tiffanyt9329 I see, for watching content the 16-9 or 16-10 seems a lot better than the iPad, but for my daily usage it's just kinda awkward. The aspect ratio on the iPad is more comfortable to hold and both portrait and landscape modes looks very similar to each other. It is also so much more natural to draw (and take notes) on, since it resembles the shape of an A4 sheet - I have more horizontal space even in portrait mode. But for those who want to use their tablets as a desktop, Samsung is definitely the way to go. I just wish someday I will find a Samsung Android tablet with the same aspect ratio as the iPad, I would buy it instantly (really, iPadOS sucks!!!)

Excellent comparative video as always, Ivan😀. I have the iPad Pro 13-inch M4 and the Samsung s9 Plus(I didn't buy the Ultra because I don't like a notch on the top of the screen ruining the view). I use the iPad for reading content and the Samsung for watching content.

I was worried too about the notch, but you don't notice the notch after a while. Besides, if you watch youtube,TV shows, or movies, the black bars hide the notch anyway. Because tv shows are 16:9 ratios and movies are 2.39 ratio and android tablets are 16 :10 ratio. So it doesn't ruin your view when you're watching somthing. The time I noticed is when I,m playing a game. But you can hide the notch in the setting when you playing a game. I have the s8 ultra, I wanted a bigger screen so I can watch videos. I,m so happy I got the ultra instead of the plus. It was really a big upgrade from the samsung tab a 10.1 inch 2019 to the s8 Ultra 14.6-inch screen is awesome. I love it.

I initially bought the Ultra, but I returned and exchanged for the Samsung tab s9 Plus because I like to watch content without black bars on top and bottom. I zoom in on s9 Plus, and it is a joy to watch everything full screen like on a TV. The tab s9 Plus has all the same features as the Ultra. It is just smaller. On the Ultra, there is an option where you can hide the notch with a black bar, but it looks horrible! The top is one shape(the corners are flat), and the bottom of the screen has a different shape(the corners are curved). The iPad 13-inch is excellent for reading and for getting work done. @pepelinsuarez you're very welcome, but you know when the zoom in the picture cuts off the side of the picture left and right so your missing part whats on screen or stretches out the picture making it the picture look fat, it depends on which zoom you used. when you are zooming in a picture, you're turning the aspect ratio tv 16:9 into a 16: 10 screen, which it doesn't look like on tv a 16:9 aspect ratio. Is really hard to explain. That's why I don't use zoom and leave the black bars on top and bottom. The black bars blend into the rest of the tablet to me. Well, I hope you understand. Do a test, watch a video that has a lot of stuff in a background, and pause the video , while in pause, zoom in out. The picture will stretch ,get fat, or the side will cut off.

Samsung is my personal favorite my tab s8 is the most fun tablet I've ever used .
Trust me guys the tab s9 is superior and more fun to use. One of the best I've owned . It comes w s pen in box , is water proof, can do higher level emulation , no limitations, better multi tasking ,
has micro SD card, has open operating system etc. Also apple got that apple pencil idea from Samsung
I think the new iPad is the best extension of the Mac. It's a perfect stand alone light-weight computer, limited by the apps. Most pro apps do not offer full functionality on the iPad.
I have both, iPad pro m4 and samsung tab s9 ultra. Both are great but in the end I use the iPad pro more than the tab ultra. Somehow it’s less comfortable and intuitive for me, personally. I tried working from the tab ultra but ended up having to open my macbook every time. I guess it’s back to personal choice.
